An Introduction to English Wine Course

Join us for our English Wine Course, hosted at Giffords Hall Vineyard

With almost a thousand vineyards in the UK, now is the time to have fun learning about English wines and the English wine scene in a picturesque vineyard, tasting great wines.

This full day course (10am - 4pm) lunch included, offers an approachable, informative introduction to English wines.

Suitable for all wine lovers, from home enthusiast to connoisseur.

With our guest wine expert, Janna Hallinan DipWSET from The English Wine Academy, you will look at England’s wine history, explore the elements required for growing the best grapes, and venture into the vines to see theory applied in practice.

You’ll gain knowledge of the principal important grape varieties of England, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn why England has a growing international reputation for creating award winning sparkling wines and a burgeoning still wine scene.
